There will be two classes: One for English speaking participants and one for Danish speaking participants. This is the Danish speaking Course Registration.

A maximum of 18 participants per class will be filled on a ‘first come – first served’ basis.
The course is rather intensive and thus involves quite a lot of homework. It is also very popular, wherefore it is a condition that you attend all classes and exams.
Participants must be active members (900 DKK) of the Yacht Club “Syvstjernen” when they sign up for the course.
All participants will be required to pay a course fee of 2600 DKK (includes all necessary materials)
Please confirm your participation by sign up on this event by Tuesday 28.02.18 at the latest.
The Theory part:
- Rules at sea (Søvejsreglerne)
- Navigation (Navigation)
- Safety at sea (Søsikkerhed)
- Fire prevention (Forebyggelse af brand)
- Protection of the marine environment (Beskyttelse af havmiljøet)
Practical training is held in immediate continuation of the theoretical training, with the aim of getting the students on the water during summer.
The practical exams will be scheduled in early September.
Decision on which student is examined on which day will be decided in class in order to accommodate everyone’s schedules as far as possible.Only students passing the theoretical and oral exams will be permitted to proceed to the practical training and exam.
The aim of the practical instruction and training in the officially required skills is:
- Boat handling
- man-overboard manoeuvers
- handling of rope
- use of safety equipment
- application of International Regulations for the Prevention of Collisions at Sea (De Internationale Søvejsregler) etc.
Your participation will be confirmed and the instructors will at that time give further directions for course preparation
and provision of reading materials etc.
